Catastrophe Risk Lead (Marine & Energy)

Join our client’s team as a permanent Catastrophe Risk Lead (Marine & Energy) in London, where you’ll play a vital role in analysing and managing worldwide catastrophic risks for Marine and Energy lines of business. This is an excellent opportunity for a risk professional with an actuarial background who is passionate about exposure management and catastrophe modelling. You will support underwriting, portfolio management, and capital utilisation, working closely with multiple teams and leading key analysis activities.

  • Extensive experience in catastrophe modelling, especially Marine or Energy risks
  • Strong knowledge of the (re)insurance industry, including London Market
  • High competency in numerical analysis and data manipulation
  • Experience with proprietary natural catastrophe modelling software
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, R, Python, VBA (desirable)
  • Willingness to take ownership and lead issue resolution
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
