We are currently helping a highly respected marine insurer to recruit for a new Project Manager position within their change and transformation team. This role will be initially focusing on project managing their data programme, creating a new central data system to enable their AI journey. I've attached the job description to this email. The salary is up to £80,000 per year plus an annual car allowance of £6,500. Bonus potential of up to 12.5% of base salary, pension is 12% of base salary as long as you put in 5%, and £1,250 per year wellbeing allowance. Plus, the usual health care, life assurance, group income protection and 28 day holiday. Their working style is hybrid with a minimum of two days expected in the office, with more days expected during the probation period in order to get to know people.
Responsibilities
- Direct and manage project development from beginning through delivery and transition to BAU.
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, project plans and associated communication documentation that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Set, continually manage and communicate project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals and negotiate with other department managers for use of their team members as required.
- Draft and submit budget proposal and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
- Plan, schedule and track project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools so as to develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations.
- Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyse results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors.
- Build, develop, and grow business relationships.
Required Skills

- Certification in Prince II / practitioner.
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Project suite and high-level understanding of the Microsoft technology stack.
